To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if she will report on a meeting with an organisation (details supplied) and the State Examinations Commission in relation to State exams and for an advance notification process to be put in place for students with epilepsy in cases in which they have a seizure on the day of an exam; when further details of this proposed process will be announced; the way that the process will work; if there will be an application process; the way that eligibility to alternate sittings will be assessed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations.
