The Health (Assisted Human Reproduction) Bill 2022 passed Second Stage in the Dáil on March 23rd2022 and has been referred to the Select Committee on Health for Third Stage. As the Deputy will appreciate, I am not in a position at this juncture to give a definitive timeline for the Bill’s complete passage through the Houses of the Oireachtas, nor its subsequent commencement. However, I am certainly most eager to see progress as quickly as possible in respect of this much-needed and long-awaited legislation, which is a priority for me and my Department, as well as representing a Programme for Government commitment.
