1835. To ask the Minister for Health when the last performance output report was published in relation the Health Research Board; when the next performance report will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21172/22]

The Health Research Board (HRB) is the lead agency in Ireland responsible for funding and commissioning research in the areas of clinical and translational medicine, population health sciences and health services research. The HRB is fully compliant with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.

The Code details all of the performance and financial reporting requirements which the HRB must satisfy. In particular, the Code requires the HRB to publish an annual report and audited financial statements.

The annual report details all deliverables achieved by the HRB in the year. The most recent annual report for the year 2020 was published on the 24thof August 2021. The annual report for the year 2021 will be published in August 2022. The audited annual accounts for the year 2020 were published on the 20thof December 2021. The audited annual accounts for 2021 will be published in December 2022. All published reports can be accessed on the HRB publications page located here: Publications (hrb.ie)
