1460. To ask the Minister for Health if appropriate staffing and finance will be put in place for the provision of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring for patients attending public hospitals who have been deemed to require this monitoring, particularly patients with diabetes; if the cardiology services in some hospitals have outsourced this service to the private sector thus requiring these patients to pay for it; the reasons for same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
