540. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide the details of all circumstances in which employees were seconded from the private sector to the public sector in cases in which the private sector employer continued to pay the employee’s salary in all such cases in the past three years as referenced his recent comments (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that there have been no employees seconded from the private sector to my Department over the past three years.

My Department does not hold central information in relation to secondments from the private sector to the public sector.  Given the broad reach of this question, the Deputy would need to seek this information on such secondments directly from the relevant Ministers in respect of each department and public bodies under its aegis.
