To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the reason a new court order proving dispense of guardian's consent is being requested when the original court order has been supplied in the case of a person's application for a passport (details supplied); the reason that the original court order is not being accepted; if the original court order can be accepted given the particular circumstances of this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the specific application about which the Deputy has enquired, the Passport Service is in direct contact with the applicant’s mother to advise on the steps they must take to progress the application.
