To ask the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 1200 and 1201 of 2 November 2021, if his Department has communicated with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine its view given the European Union Court of Justice decision that Irish hemp farmers and food producers are permitted to use all parts of the hemp crop to make their food products; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Health has not communicated such a view to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The matters raised in relation to the European Court of Justice are currently sub-judice and I am not in a position to comment further.
