187. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to further regulate private clamping companies and the areas in which they operate; and if he has considered the establishment of a sub-office within the National Transport Authority to manage and review the way clamping operates in Ireland. As outlined previously, in my response to Dáil question No. 245 of 15/09/2021, the Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 gave the National Transport Authority (NTA) responsibility for the regulation of vehicle clamping activities in both statutory and non-statutory (privately-owned) clamping places throughout the State.  Therefore, I have again forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply.

Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
