To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the actions his Department plans to take to ensure the practice of landlords offering accommodation for sex is not permitted within the rental system in view of newspaper reports of landlords offering accommodation for sex. I propose to take Questions Nos. 489 and 504 together.
I condemn in the strongest terms any instance where properties are offered for rent in return for sexual acts. I have sought and received advice from the Attorney General in relation to the matter, which I am currently considering in consultation with my colleague the Minister for Justice.
