To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the number of children who were taken into State care from domestic violence shelters given that 3% of mandated reports on child protection and welfare came from managers of domestic violence shelters from January to August 2021; the names of the shelters involved; and the number taken from each shelter for each of the years 2016 to 2020 and to date in 2021. I wish to advise the Deputy that operational responsibility for the delivery of child protection and welfare services is a matter for Tusla, the Child and Family Agency.
