196. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment the level of emissions produced in Ireland in each year over the past decade in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [57121/21]

The Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for compiling the inventories of greenhouse gas emissions for Ireland and for reporting the data to the relevant EU and international institutions.The latest report, published in October 2021, details the provisional estimates of Ireland’s greenhouse gas emissions figures for the years 1990 to 2020. These figures are based on the SEAI’s final energy balances released in September 2021 and are estimated using methodologies employed in the inventory in accordance with UNFCCC reporting guidelines, and the latest available input data. The following table sets out the total emissions in Ireland over the past 10 years, as per the October 2021 report.
