The Community Activities Fundwas launched by my department on Thursday 11thNovember to support community groups impacted by COVID-19.

This fund will support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, with their running costs such as utility or insurance bills, as well as with improvements to their facilities. Groups will also be able to use the funding to carry out necessary repairs and to purchase equipment such as tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers and training equipment. This fund will provide small grants for community groups impacted by the Pandemic and support facilities such as community centres, men’s and women’s sheds, parish halls and youth centres.

The Community Activities Fund is under the 2021 Stability Fund and Community Enhancement Programme and is administered by the local LCDCS on behalf of my department. The group mentioned by the Deputy may be eligible to apply for funding to the Community Activities Fundand it is recommended that the group contact the LCDC in their area for further details.
