292. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the way in which the demographic costs for disability for 2022 were calculated in Budget 2022; the details of the allocations to specific areas of disability, that is, residential, therapies, respite and so on that are meant to meet demographic costs; and the way these relate to the demographic evidence outlined in the Disability Capacity Review to 2032 A Review of Social Care Demand and Capacity Requirements to 2032. The demographic costs for the full Health Service were subject to discussion and agreement between the Department of Health and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform during the course of the Budget negotiations. This was then reflected in the Existing Level of Service allocation to that Department. The proportion of that allocation for the disability services and the way these relate to the demographic evidence outlined in the Disability Capacity Review to 2032 is a matter for the Department of Health.
