1036. To ask the Minister for Health the breakdown of the additional €100 million for the disability budget announced in 2020 for 2021; and the amount of such monies that has been spent to date in tabular form. [52973/21]

Government is committed to providing services and supports for people with disabilities which will empower them to live independent lives, provide greater independence in accessing the services they choose, and enhance their ability to tailor the supports required to meet their needs and plan their lives.

An additional €100 million was provided in the 2021 Budget for new disability developments, which will see? the budget for specialist disability services exceed €2.2 billion in 2021. This additional funding was allocated as outlined below.

The Department of Health and the HSE engage in a Performance Management process where HSE performance and outputs are reported and monitored. As progress is reported in arrears, and in view of the fact that there were certain delays in reporting because of the impact of the cyber-attack earlier in the year, the detail on spend to date requested by the Deputy has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.
