To ask the Minister for Health the reason there are no facilities for admitting adults who have an intellectual disability and require residential psychiatric treatment, further to advice to this Deputy that the HSE does not have the resources to deal with them; if this is correct; and if so, the reason. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
