My Department’s main role in relation to tourism lies in the area of national tourism policy development. Implementation of that policy is a matter for the tourism agencies, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland.

The promotion of Irish tourism to and within the State is an operational matter for Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland. I have asked the two tourism agencies to provide the Deputy with further information on their plans for promoting Irish tourism in 2022.
