To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to raise the fixed-charge penalty that may be issued by traffic wardens and members of An Garda Síochána for parking offences related to preventing use of active and sustainable transport infrastructure, including parking on footpaths, cycle lanes and bus lanes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently working with both the Office of Parliamentary Counsel and An Garda Síochána in relation to such offences.
