To ask the Minister for Health if the waiting time of 18 months designated by Clare early intervention services for an assessment of need for a child (details supplied) will be reviewed; if there is a way this process can be expedited in view of the fact that the child’s mother has obtained a diagnosis privately but accessing supports and services is delayed until the Clare early intervention services assessment of need has taken place; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
