To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the systems that are in place to issue licences to allow access to a lakeside slipway (details supplied) in County Westmeath; the way these licences are issued; the frequency with which they are they are renewed; the cost to obtain a licence; the maximum number of licences issued in a given year at this location; if there is a waiting list for applicants to gain access to this location; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Coillte issue licences to moor boats at their property on Lough Sheelin. However, Coillte CGA was established as a private commercial company under the Forestry Act, 1988 and day-to-day operational matters such as this are the responsibility of the company.
I have therefore passed the questions raised to Coillte for response and direct reply to the Deputy.
