In response to the cyber attack in May this year, my Department engaged the services of its existing security partner, procured following a competitive tender process in 2020. The services provided were in respect of identifying, investigating, containing and remediating the presence of any malicious activity. The cost for these services was approximately €510,000 excl VAT.
In respect of the Health Service Executive, as this is a service matter I have asked them to respond to the Deputy directly as soon as possible.
