To ask the Minister for Health if ivermectin is permitted to be prescribed in Ireland; if a directive has been issued to general practitioners in relation to the use of ivermectin; if so, the details of the directive; the reason for such a directive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Ivermectin is currently authorised in Ireland as Soolantra 10mg/g Cream, indicated for the topical treatment of inflammatory lesions of rosacea (papulopustular) in adult patients. A directive has not been issued to GPs in relation to the use of ivermectin.
