1530. To ask the Minister for Health the status of the provision of a MRI machine for Wexford General Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33988/21]

The HSE has advised that there is currently an interim MRI service available at Wexford General Hospital, and that the installation of a permanent service is a priority capital investment for the Ireland East Health Group. I understand that engagement is taking place between the Hospital Group and the HSE regarding the funding of this initiative through the 2022 Estimates process.
