To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of occasions her Department has refused to process a request under freedom of information using section 15(1)(g) of the Freedom of Information Act 2014; and the number of persons that have applied since January 2014. The number of Freedom of Information requests received by my Department since January 2014 is set out in the table below:

Decisions made in 2019, 2020 and to date in 2021 have been reviewed and it has been established that 11 FOI requests were refused under Section 15(1)(g) of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 as frivolous or vexatious. The figures from 2014 to 2018 are not readily available.
