The Irish Research Council is the main source of funding for individual postgraduate and postdoctoral students and funds Postgraduate Scholarships and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in all disciplines, including the Irish Language. The IRC has a database of all projects awarded funding, which can be searched by discipline, available on their website at the following link: Details on how to apply for funding are also available on the website.
Funding or scholarships available from individual institutions for Irish Language research are a matter for each institution, in line with their autonomy. The institutions themselves are best placed to provide answers in relation to any scholarships that are available.
