I propose to take Questions Nos. 63 and 114 together.
My thoughts, and the thoughts of the Government, are with the family and friends of Noah Donohoe at this extremely distressing time, and as they contend with such a profound personal loss.
The case of Noah’s death is currently being investigated through a coronial inquest, as well as a corporate manslaughter case against the Northern Ireland Executive Department responsible for maintaining the storm drain where Noah was found. This is a very complex and sensitive case. As such, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.
I am aware that the correspondence referred, which was sent to the Taoiseach, has been responded to, and that the Taoiseach has asked officials in his Department to arrange a meeting with Noah’s family to get a better understanding of the concerns that they might have.
