2538. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will introduce an amendment to section 49 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 to ensure that the final report of a complaints officer as part of the complaints procedure of the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority is made available to the complainant and the authority. There would be three main sets of issues that would need to be considered in relation to this matter namely: the interests of fair procedures and transparency; data protection and privacy; and any other relevant legal aspects.
