To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if an aircraft (details supplied) that landed at Shannon Airport was approved to transport weapons or other US military cargo through the airport; if its passengers and crew who stayed overnight fully complied with the Covid-19 regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. No exemption, pursuant to Article 5 of the Air Navigation (Carriage of Munitions of War, Weapons and Dangerous Goods) Orders, 1973 and 1989, was granted for the flight in question.

Enforcement of COVID-19 Regulations are a matter for the Garda National Immigration Bureau, who undertake checks on arriving passengers at Shannon Airport to ensure they are in compliance.
