My thoughts, and the thoughts of the Government, are with the family and friends of the person concerned at this extremely distressing time, and as they contend with such a profound and tragic loss.
While matters relating to the interests of Irish citizens in other jurisdictions are more properly dealt with by my colleague, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, I understand that this case is a matter for the Police Service of Northern Ireland and an investigation is underway. I also understand that a Coroner's investigation is also ongoing. As such, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.
