To ask the Minister for Health if he will amend the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 to address the lacuna in the law with respect to the growth of industrial hemp; if he has or will initiate a dialogue with the Ministers for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Finance in the context of industrial hemp given it is a carbon sink and sequesters carbon dioxide in addition to producing a strong economic return for growers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
