To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the sections of the Housing Acts 1997 to 2014 upon which local authorities can rely in order to evict tenants who are engaged in known criminal behaviour such as drug dealing, violence and intimidation, repeated antisocial behaviour or damage to the property or surrounding area; the number of cases taken by each local authority excluding Dublin under this Act since 2015 in each of the years 2015 to 2020, in tabular form; the percentage of these cases that have been successful; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Section 12 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 deals with District Court proceedings for possession by a local authority where there has been a breach of a tenancy agreement or rent-related obligation.  The tenancy agreement includes a term relating to anti-social behaviour.  Anti-social behaviour is defined in section 1 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1997, as amended.
