328. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if a detailed list will be provided of the allocations made by national governing bodies of sport in receipt of funding in excess of €100,000 from the Covid resilience fund to units within their respective organisations; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, a Covid-19 funding package of €85 million was provided last year to support the sport sector. This significant investment benefited all levels of the sport sector including thousands of grassroots clubs across the country and provided some certainty for sporting organisations in their planning for 2021.
As the Covid-19 funding schemes are administered by Sport Ireland, I am arranging for Sport Ireland to respond directly to the Deputy. Please contact my office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
