437. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will raise the case of a person (details supplied) to ensure the case is adequately investigated by authorities in Northern Ireland; the steps he will take to ensure the family is supported by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My thoughts, and the thoughts of the Government, are with the family and friends of Noah Donohoe at this extremely distressing time, and as they contend with such a profound personal loss.
The case of Noah’s death is a matter for the Police Service of Northern Ireland and an investigation is underway. There has been a renewed appeal for witnesses, and we would encourage anyone who may have any information to contact the PSNI. I understand that a Coroner's investigation is also ongoing. As such, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.
