To ask the Minister for Education and Skills her plans with regard to paying a supplementary grant for emergency works at a school (details supplied) in view of the fact that the extra costs related to unforeseeable events and works due to Covid-19 and the need to have the school ready for reopening for September 2020; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I would like to inform the Deputy that a request for additonal funding was received from the school after the works were completed, this is considered retrospective funding which is not allowed under the terms of the Emergency Works scheme.

My Department has been in contact with the school in question and a resolution has been reached.
