171. To ask the Minister for Finance when the VRT calculator will be up and running; his views on the website of the Revenue Commissioners; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9534/21]

I am informed by Revenue that some customers experienced difficulties with the VRT calculator between 9 February and 15 February. The calculator returned an error message in some cases but is working satisfactorily since the error was corrected and the service was restored on Monday 15 February.

Revenue’s website provides a very broad range of information spanning the entire body tax and customs law applicable in the State. I am advised by Revenue that they update this material on a continuous basis to seek to make this information available to the public in as accessible a form as possible.
