61. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if he or his officials have met with representatives of a company (details supplied) or other industry bodies in relation to the decommissioned infrastructure at the Kinsale gas field and the possible use of this in any field developed at the Barryroe field; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department meets with holders of petroleum authorisations from time to time on a variety of issues in order to ensure the effective regulation of petroleum activities offshore Ireland and to facilitate informed decision making. However, neither I nor my officials have met with the company referred to by the Deputy or representatives of any industry bodies in relation to the use of decommissioned Kinsale area gas fields infrastructure in any development of the Barryroe field.
