316. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his attention has been drawn to the imminent sale of a site (details supplied); the communication he has had with Longford County Council on the further use of the stadium; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9248/21]

Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) is a commercial state body, established under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. RCÉ is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

Longford Greyhound Stadium is a privately operated greyhound track that ceased operations in March 2020.

Accordingly, my Department has no remit with regard to the future use of the stadium.
