To ask the Minister for Health the number of applications submitted to the HSE via the Central Remedial Clinic for selective dorsal rhizotomy under the treatment abroad scheme in each of the past three years; the number of requests received and considered by the medical team at the Central Remedial Clinic in each year; the number of requests in each year concerned for post-SDR surgery aftercare services from patients who have been refused approval for selective dorsal rhizotomy by the CRC; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
