1021. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of instances since January 2015 to date in which his Department has set aside the findings of the director of the agricultural appeals office following a review at the request of his Department of a decision by an appeals officer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not aware of any cases in which the findings of the Director of the Agriculture Appeals Office have been set aside by my Department.

However, I have requested that a full review of the case files be undertaken by my Department of the outcomes of these cases, so that a definitive response may be forwarded to the Deputy in due course.
