To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the details of the work of her Department with the National Development Finance Agency in respect of a project school bundle (details supplied); when the procurement process commenced for the procurement of the design team and project management for the school projects involved; the list of school projects in the school bundle; when this procurement process will be completed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, the project to which he refers has been devolved to the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) for delivery as part of a programme of school building projects.

The school projects in Bundle 2 - ‘Project Boyne’ are listed in the table.

The NDFA is currently undertaking the second phase of the process of appointment of multi-disciplinary technical advisors (design teams) for this bundle. We expect the tendering process for this stage to be completed soon.

Thereafter, the NDFA will ensure that the projects progress to design stage, obtain the necessary statutory planning permission, and move the projects onward to tender and construction in due course.

Please be assured that the NDFA is engaging directly with the respective school authorities to keep them informed of progress.
