305. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if her Department will provide grant funding to support the commercial live events sector; if the arts and culture recovery task force is giving consideration to the sector; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1289/21]

An allocation of €50 million was made in Budget 2021 for the live performance sector. The rollout of this funding will include measures which will build on grant schemes launched under the July stimulus, such as the pilot "Live Performance Support Scheme" and the "Music Industry Stimulus Package". Officials in my Department have gained valuable insights from these schemes and will apply these learnings when allocating funding this year.
The Report of the "Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce" was published on the 17th November last year and recommended the establishment of a cross-sectoral implementation group to oversee and monitor the implementation of the taskforce's 10 recommendations. I recently announced the establishment of the Recovery Oversight Group for the Tourism Sector and officials in my Department are currently working on proposals for an oversight group for Arts & Culture which I hope to establish in the coming weeks.
