378. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the properties owned by her Department in the wider Dún Laoghaire area; the plans for these sites; the way they fit into the established need for primary and secondary schools in the area; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [44216/20]

There are four properties in my ownership in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council area the management of which has not passed to a school patron.

The configuration of these properties to meet school requirements in the area has not yet been finalised. My Department is working on plans for these existing properties to meet some of the requirements for primary and secondary schools in the area. One of these properties, subject to planning permission, may provide accommodation for two schools while the other properties will provide solutions for individual schools.

In consultation with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, my Department also continues to seek to acquire further properties in the area in order to meet school requirements.

Due to commercial sensitivities my Department is not in a position to provide further details of ongoing acquisitions in the area at this time.
