Vehicle age limits for small public service vehicles (SPSVs) are a matter for the statutory regulator, the National Transport Authority (NTA).
The Deputy may be aware that, at the start of the pandemic, the NTA extended until the end of 2020 the age limits for vehicles that were due to reach them from March onward. Furthermore, the NTA has proposed a further extension of these age limits until 31 December 2021 and has recently concluded a public consultation on this proposal.
