To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number and location of properties in each town, village and rural area within each local authority area approved under the repair and lease scheme and the buy and renew scheme since inception to date in 2020, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Repair and Leasing Scheme (RLS) and the Buy and Renew Scheme (B&R) are complementary schemes which were developed to assist private property owners and local authorities or approved housing bodies (AHBs) to harness the accommodation potential that exists in vacant dwellings.

At end Q2 2020, a total of 185 dwellings had been brought back into use under the RLS scheme. Up-to-date data in relation to dwellings delivered by each local authority under RLS is available on my Department's website at the following link:

Since it was introduced, local authorities have delivered over 600 new social homes through the Buy and Renew Scheme. The table below sets out details of the number of homes acquired to date by each local authority.
