The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science is responsible for the policy around the conditionality of the SUSI grant. The decision on eligibility for a grant is a matter for SUSI to determine, based on a student’s income from all sources.

My Department has ongoing engagement with the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science on a range of issues regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
