To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the details of all applications made by his Department to the Oireachtas Business Committee to waive pre-legislative scrutiny of primary and secondary legislation sponsored or initiated by his Department from 1 January 2017 to date; the outcomes of such applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science was established in July 2020. Since the establishment of the Department there have been no applications to waive pre legislative scrutiny of primary and secondary legislation. Information in respect of the period from 1 January 2017 to July 2020 has been referred to the Department of Education for their direct reply as these matter were under the remit of that Department during that time.
