To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the way in which his Department’s annual amount for contingent liability is set; the factors considered when setting contingent liability; if forecasting is undertaken regarding setting future amounts; the contingent liability figure for his Department for 2020; and if the contingency provision has been utilised to date in 2020. The Department of Foreign Affairs maintains contingent liability under ongoing review as part of the Departmental budgetary process. To date, the Department has not identified a requirement for a contingent liability amount to be set.
