To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the protocol for students opting to sit the written leaving certificate scheduled for November 2021 if they have suspected Covid-19 symptoms and are awaiting a test or results; if they are close contacts and have to self-isolate for 14 days; the accommodation that will be made available to them to sit their exams; and if they can be accommodated to sit their exams virtually or at a later date if they have Covid-19. The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations.

In view of this I have forwarded the Deputy's query to the State Examinations Commission for direct reply to him.
