My Department have been in communication with the Order of St. John of God regarding this matter.

I understand the Order has decided the best use of the property at 30 Obelisk Walk is the provision of secure housing for persons with a disability and that this will provide great benefit to people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The property is subject to a lien from which the Order have requested a partial release, allowing them to draw down on a grant from the Department of Housing for this purpose.

The Chief State Solicitor’s Office, acting on behalf of my Department, have provided a deed of partial release, which is being sealed and signed and will shortly be returned to the CSSO to finalise the matter.
