171. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if a community employment scheme will be extended for a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26062/20]

I understand that the person concerned had completed 3 years on Community Employment in September 2019, and in view of her particular circumstances was permitted, exceptionally at that time, to continue for a further year.

In order to be eligible again for Community Employment, she will again need to be in a receipt of a qualifying payment for twelve months. She can then apply for appropriate vacancies.

I trust this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
