The Stamp 2 permission issued to the person concerned was due to expire on 30 September 2020, and has been automatically renewed to 20 January 2021, by the temporary extension of immigration and international protection permissions that I announced on 18 September 2020.

The person concerned may apply to the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation for an employment permit while in valid permission in the State. Further information on employment permits can be found on www.dbei.gov.ieor by contacting the Employment Permits Section of the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation on 01-4175333 or Lo-call: 1890 201 616.

Queries in relation to the status of individual immigration cases may be made directly to my Department by e-mail using the Oireachtas Mail facility which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Questions process. The Deputy may consider using the e-mail service except in cases where the response is, in the Deputy’s view, inadequate or too long awaited.
